Science production should be visible at the top-level UI, as Money and Influence are.

The upper-right UI shows my society's total per turn production of Money and Influence. But Science, the commodity that actually advances me in my game options, is hidden by an additional click to the Science screen, for no reason I can imagine.  

It would be extremely useful (and intuitive) to have Science be visible with the other two "national-level" yields.
