Title says it all, but I would like to see the option to disable both the animated avatar characters found on diplomacy screens, as well as their voices. This is intended to be separate from disabling the narrator's voice, as I like those quite a bit.
I personally think Humankind is a fantastic game, one that will likely give me about as many hours as Civ has over the years. The only thing that really bothers me about the game are the animated avatars and their audio quips.
After you play a handful of games you've already heard all their one-liners. It becomes noise after a while, and half the time the speech doesn't match the event (eg. an angry avatar line after we signed a mutual agreement). Being able to turn them off (without turning off the narrator) would be wonderful, as these quips have become tedious.
As far as the avatars themselves go, I've never been a fan. In my opinion the art is rough around the edges, the colour palettes washed out compared to the vibrance of the rest of the game, they don't express as much 'life' as the avatars in Civ do with their stiff animations, and as mentioned above, each have just a small handful of dialogue. All around I would like the game more if they didn't exist. On top of that artistic gripe, being able to disable them might provide a tiny performance bump for folks working with lower-end platforms.
I've cobbled together some rough mock-ups to give you an idea of what I'm asking for:
