I would pay for a DLC that gives me weather events on both land and sea.
Example of a good event:
Annual river flooding has bless the food yields more abundantly then before
Impact = increased food yields for the territory for 5 turns
Example of a bad event:
A tornado has devastated a region
Impact: something gets pillaged
Example of an indeterminate event:
A hurricane has formed in one of the seas
Impact: the user can decide to traverse through the region and incur attrition damage to units or to go around the event. But watch out before certain technology is researched you dont know the path the hurricane will take and could end up on top of you next turn.
Technology: meteorology - provides useful insights about when and where the next event might occur. Provides information about weather trajectory such as the path of a hurricane, tornado, etc. Provides information about how long a front might last, e.g. before the tech you would have no idea how long a blizzard can last in a territory and impact your plans for invasion. With the technology researched you would get an accurate guage of when you'll get clear skies again so that you can plan ahead
The frequency of these events can be adjusted by the users in the settings, but could also increase based on the pollution factor in the game if users play with that
