It would be cool if there was a setting where you could make it generate the world in the shape of a sphere. It would be in the "World" section under the "New Game" section.
I'm not sure of its feasibility, but I think it would be a great step forward for 4X games. I'm eager to see how this "little-big" suggestion is going to shape the future of the strategical genre. It would also open the doors to a whole new possible level of realism - I'd personally be very excited to live the rush for Strategic Resources in the Artic region on a geoid map (since, technically talking, Earth isn't really a sphere).
