In  the rewards section of my profile, there was an option to redeem a copy of Endless Space to my Steam account. I already own Endless Space, but I wanted that gift box to stop jumping, so I redeemed it.

I have two questions

1) Does this screw with my original copy of Endless Space (along with my Amplitude badge and G2G points) in any way? Or does it just see I already own it and not do anything?

2) The giftbox is still jumping, despite redeeming all my rewards. Is there way to stop it?

Don't worry about the redeem, it won't meddle with your already-acquired games.

About the giftbox jumping around someone already complained about it so it might be fixed soon enough but no, you can't really force it to stop right now.
