I've linked my steam account, but trying to sync it takes me to a login page, which after I enter my info, takes me to an error message.  All my login info is correct.

I have tried both firefox and chrome.

This process is a huge pain :(
I wish the Humankind beta was on steam so we could just download it there without this.

Okay I figured it out.  

I had to set my privacy settings in steam to public for my games.

Hopefully anyone having this problem sees this and is able to get it working!

Yep, that fixed it for me too

I have my steam profile set to public and when I try to re-sync my account it takes me to the steam login, then back to a page with the g2g logo says loading and just stops there. Reloading just gives me an error request not valid message.

Same for me , just bought the game and was pumped to play. (everything on my steam is public)

@AceNugget i just tried to restart my computer and it worked

Unfortunately it didn't for me. The link button is available, it brings me to my Steam login page, where I can just click login because I'm already logged into my steam account (I have also tried while being logged out of Steam... same difference). Then it goes back to my profile page and I see the progress bar in the Link button... goes up to about 20% and then stops like nothing happened. I tried with and without my games info public in Steam profile.

I am experiencing this same error. I am unable to link my Steam or update my email address (however, I do receive the confirmation emails at my new email address). I was able to successfully link my Twitch but that's it.
