How can I unlink and relink my steam account?

I have an old G2G account which is linked to my steam account. I have however forgotten the password and the password reset tool keeps freezing.

This has prevented me from participating in the OpenDev for Humankind last december and I'm hoping I won't run into a similar issue in the future.

I've tried contacting SEGA support twice, however I have not received a reply.

Could anyone direct me the right way?
