Just have a look at how Sovereign interpreted each of the verses.

It clearly shows, that it is indeed possible to figure out exactly what I've thought when composing the riddle.

That's why he could be 100% sure that he had the right answer.

And yes, it's tar-pit for you aswell!

It is possible, but making option a) a possibility within a phasespace of possibilities does not make it the ONLY possibility of interpretation.

You can only cut down on a phasespace by restricting it. The nature of a poem or a riddle is so as not to restrict it, tightly. Therefore there are many interpretations possible if you only think weird enough.

And yes, I'm probably one of the most weird ones in terms of trains of thought, so I never guess supposedly easy riddles and am normally spot on the really really weird ones.

The 2nd maybe is the colonial base but I'm not sure
