I see a lot of you guys around, so I'm just curious to learn more about you.

Let's start a thread where you tell the community:

1. Where you live

2. How old you are

3. What you do for a living

4. What you do outside of gaming for fun

5. What's your favorite genre of music

6. About your family or pets

New Q: What is your native language?

I'll start!

1. I live in Virginia, USA, just south of Washington, D.C.

2. 31 for another few days (my birthday is imminent!)

3. I'm a paid firefighter/paramedic for a major metropolitan fire department

4. I workout religously, I spend time with my family, and I'm really in to medicine (especially EMS). Love a good book, too.

5. I love metal, but I'm really in to post-hardcore bands, like Hands like Houses, Dead to April, Fair to Midland, stuff like that. My all-time favorite: Slipknot smiley: wink

6. I'm married and have one son who's 15 months old and a daughter from another marriage that's almost 12 (yikes!). We have two cats and a new dog!

New Q: I speak English natively, but I've learned a bit of German (German family members) and took French in High School.

So, how about you guys/gals?

I'll bite smiley: smile

1. Where you live

Born and raised in Southern California but decided to move to Arizona a few years ago to get away from the hustle and bustle of L.A.

2. How old are you

31, birthday's not until next year.

3. What you do for a living

Been an auto mechanic for about 9 years now. I've built some pretty awesome rides and restore vintage cars.

4. What you do outside of gaming for fun

As many outdoor activities as I can, I like to go disc golfing and camping whenever I can rustle up enough people. I've just started working out, beefcake goals smiley: wink.

5. What's your favorite genre of music

I listen to everything, even country! Music is the universal language so I try not to be closed minded.

6. About your family or pets

Not married, no kids nor do I plan on having any. I do however have a 7 year old German Shorthaired Pointer named Indy, like Indiana Jones cause he's gone on some crazy adventures with me lol.

Hm. Since people can find most of the things on my profile, why not elaborate a bit more, here:

1. Where you live

Hamburg, Germany

2. How old are you

28

3. What you do for a living

Experimental elementary particle physics

4. What you do outside of gaming for fun

I suspect you refer to computer gaming, only, so I'll just add boardgames. :P

Furthermore long discussions and actually work (yes, it's fun, most of the time...)

5. What's your favorite genre of music

Symphonic metal, but I hear a lot, ranging from Ftanng! over Evanescence, Within Temptation, Nemesea, Art of Dying, Blutengel to Oomph!

Just wanted to begin and end with an exclamation mark. smiley: stickouttongue

2. 35 (as of yesterday)

3. Architect and I'd add author, but children's books aren't a source of income I can live from (yet)

4. Writing, drawing, reading, daydreaming

5. A bit of this and that... from Toto to Elvis to Genesis to Iron Maiden and from Scooter to nervous_testpilot to the Inkspots to Frankie Goes to Hollywood.

Six String Samurai was an awesome movie.

Dude, you don't even know. I've seen RE live at least a dozen times in the past few years, they tour through Tucson at least 3-4 times a year.

I've Boogie Woogie'd with them on several occasions.

Currently in Greece. Kinda busy and may be stuck here for a while, but wouldn't mind leaving again soon. I get bored anywhere after two years and feel trapped after 3.

I guess I should add in that I speak English of course as well as Spanish and some Italian seeing as my grandmothers relatives were Italian and she spoke it fluently. I always had her teach me anything she could when I had time to spend with her.

Ha! My niece and my dog were born 3 months apart from each other so they've basically grown up together over the past 7 years, she loves him to death and I've got plenty of pics of them together. It'll make for some amazing memories down the road.
