Today we are super happy, as it is the beginning of the Closed Beta.
It is something that all of you wanted to try, and it is an important milestone for the entire team. We hope that you and your friends enjoy playing the game!
There have been a few changes, in case you played previous versions of the game, and part of that is thanks to all the Insiders who are helping us. Of course, there are some of those changes that you won't be able to see yet, as it is content that we are reserving for the release of the game ;)
Closed Beta Release !
First of all a quick reminder that the Beta will be available from today 7th of September 18:00 CEST to the 18th of September 18:00 CEST
Who can access the beta?
This Closed Beta is part of the Digital "Last Wish Edition" and will be available on both Steam and Epic Games Store. But this is not all, the owners of the Last Wish Edition on Steam will get 2 additional copies to share with friends. These gifts will unlock a multiplayer-only version of the Closed Beta.
Last but not least, we will be having Twitch Drops, that will drop access to the multiplayer version of the Beta. You can find more information Here

Here is the main content of this Closed Beta
- Play alone or co-op with up to 3 players.
- Up to 4 different heroes to play: Bunker, Zed, and Shroom will be unlocked from the beginning, and you will be able to unlock Blaze
- Each of the heroes will have some quest for you to fulfill which will unlock more slots to improve your heroes and additional elements.
- Access to 5 Districts: Some districts will need a key to get access to, but that's something you will need to look for during your runs.
- Encounter 3 families of monsters; Bugs, Bots, and Blobs: Be careful with all of them, even the smaller ones can be quite annoying, so do not forget to prepare your defenses and check the map to see their patterns.
- 2 Bosses, Shelldiver and Bug Momma: If you have played a previous OpenDev you might recognise them. But the team has made some changes to each of them. Be prepared!
- Beverages, Devices, etc.
Buddy Pass Guidelines
If you own the Last Wish Edition on Steam, you will get x2 Buddy Pass to share with your Friends. Here is the "how-to":
- You will see a notification on the upper-right side of Steam.
- There you will see that you get additional items in the inventory > Click on it
- You can always just go straight to the Inventory by clicking on your name > Inventory
- Click the "Buddy Pass" Item and click "Send as Gift"
- Select your lucky friend
- Play and have fun together!

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THIS CLOSED BETA?
- Owner of the Last Wish Edition on PC (Steam and Epic Games) will grant you access to the full Closed Beta
- Receiving a Buddy Pass: You have a friend who got Last Wish Edition that gifted you a Buddy Pass on Steam (granting access only to the Multiplayer part of the beta)
- Receiving a drop on Twitch (granting access only to the Multiplayer part of the beta)

HOW LONG WILL THIS CLOSED BETA LAST?
The beta goes from the 7th of September (18:00 CEST) to the 18th (18:00 CEST) of the same month.
DO I NEED A CONTROLLER
While the keyboard and mouse are supported, we recommend using a controller to play it.
I AM HAVING TROUBLE CREATING MY GAMES2GETHER ACCOUNT, WHAT CAN I DO?
If you are facing any problems creating your Games2Gether account, please reach out to SEGA Customer Support with a description of your problem.
CAN I UPGRADE OR CHANGE MY PRE-PURCHASE EDITION AFTER PURCHASING IT?
Currently no, the only way possible is to refund and get the version you want.
WILL MY PROGRESS BE SAVED FROM THIS CLOSED BETA TO THE FULL RELEASE?
No, any unlocks/progress made in this Closed Beta will be reset.
DOES THE GAME WORK ON STEAM DECK?
We are working on getting the full verification for the release. But you should be able to play this Closed Beta on Steam Deck (was already playable on the previous OpenDevs).
WHERE CAN I ASK/SUGGEST THINGS SUCH AS NEW FEATURES/IDEAS/CHANGES?

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ENCOUNTER A BUG, WHERE CAN I REPORT IT?
You can report your bug on the Bug Report section, here on Games2Gether. Here are the guidelines on how to report bugs properly.
Also, we opened a section on our Discord to report bugs as well, but we do encourage you to report them here as it is easier for the team to track them.
