Repeated CTDs here at random times for random reasons, I presume. ASUS Radeon HD X9 270 card here. Attached all generated crash dumps, hope they can help you out. I really love the game, it's just unplayable in this state. Gonna have to wait for an update.

If you have an AMD graphic card and are having trouble with crashes, just execute the game settled as 32 bits, it will stop the crash thing. At least worked with me. smiley: smile

Going to give this a try because the game crashes *constantly* with my radeon card (affected?) ; otherwise game of the year for me so far. Also quite enjoyed DOTE thanks !

edit: 32 bit fix worked for me; no crashing so happy now smiley: smile

Actually gonna try tweaking CCC settings, see if I can't get it to run stable with some different 3d APP setups.

Don't know what "execute the game settled as 32 bits" means, but if it means the 32-bit beta workaround documented in this thread, it won't stop the crashes. Please explain.

Windows 8.1 64 bit, with Radeon 7790, as I progressed in my first game, more and more crashes occurred as I have more cities, reveal more cities, etc.

Was getting frustrated, but I saw this thread, and tried the 32 bit Beta.

So far, it works for me, after about one hour of gameplay, using the 32-bit, no crashes yet (previously, it would crash in 15-20 minutes). If crashes resume, I will post an update.

The game is fantastic, hope this bug can be resolved, as it is souring the experience for a lot of people apparently.

BTW, does anyone know what I am missing by playing the 32 bit, compared to the 64 bit?

Memory addressing, essentially. You lose no features, just some performance on mid/high end systems due to lack of the executable being able to address/utilize the full amount of RAM in the system.

Thanks leracos.

BTW, just for information, when I was having crashes, I was already updated to the last Catalyst driver, the new Omega Catalyst (14.12). So apparently the new AMD graphic driver does not fix this issue.

I have since played a few more hours, and the 32 bit version has not crashed even once, so for me at least this is an effective work-around.

Can confirm, attempted running x64 after Omega update from AMD, still crashes. Made it a LOT further before it did, but still crashed.

Have had the game crash a number of times for me in the past while (only started playing recently), I'm also on an AMD card and running 64-bit. I've switched to the 32-bit version now (sad, since I have 16GB of RAM in this rig!) but here's my crashdump from the most recent crash. crash_2014-12-14_192232.zip

Like others, i experience a lots of crashes after 100+ turns, win7 64 bits, Quad core 9950 and ATI card (4800 radeon)

I've swtiched to 32 bits mode, played around 30 turns and had no crash at all smiley: biggrin Thanks a lot for this "patch". Keep it up ! smiley: smile

ps : I noticed the game crash almost all the time when it should display a message (information message, battle report or when I click on a menu). Hope it helps !

I can confirm the crashes were more often on my end when I was fiddling around during endturn phase. However, on my most recent series of crashes (before changing to the 32 bit) I literally moved or touched nothing and it still crashed every 2-5 turns.

Some further information; changing AMD Omega/Catalyst settings does not resolve the issue. Steam overlay turned off does not resolve the issue. Not running in Big Picture mode. Installing AMD driver but NO Catalyst does not resolve issue. Has to have something to do with AMD architecture and the driver itself. Submitting it to AMD support for them to start working on it as well.

The workaround to set it to 32 bit does not seem to be possible for my Endless legend.

When i go to Properties of Endless legend in my library and go to 'Betas' i cannot opt into any betas and its asking for my beta access code (i bought it on steam 2 days ago).

Any idea how i can get my beta access code or how else to set it to 32 bit? these crashes every 15 min are starting to become VERY annoying.

Just posted a new thread whinoing about the same issue with my R9 270X (latest Omega drivers) and Win 8.1 64 bit. game version is v 1.0.24 s3 64 bit. What a seriously buggy and broken game! going to try 32 bit version, but seriously doubt if this will help a rat's ass.

and that, is why we should 'try before we buy'.

Tried with my R290, i5-4690k windows 8.1pro system. AMD Catalyst 14.301.1001

Tried all the recommended fixes here...

/#/endless-legend/forum/13-tech-support/thread/5225-workaround-crashes-solutions ... nothing has helped. The crash is a OS level crash -Often with Nasty sounds on the audio

32 bit seems to crash about the same as 64 bit. Revealing more of the map crashes more often At the start of the game its 10-20 turns before a crash now I'm lucky to get 4. No Antivirus running, disabled every system tray add on other then catalyst. Also tried disabling the CPU's intel 4600 graphics.

Nothing helps...

The game looks fun, but this is not playable at all. Please fix this, or if you can't - issue a refund.
