Hello there,

I don't think that this error is related to the ATI cards because I've seen it also for PC.

However, if you have the following files, feel free to add them in this thread:

Output_log.txt
  • [PC] [Steaminstalldir]/Steamapps/Common/Endless Legend/EndlessLegend_Data/output_log.txt
  • [MAC] via the OSX Console - /Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

Diagnostics.html
  • [PC] [Documentsdir]/Endless Legend/Temporary Files/Diagnostics*.html
  • [MAC] Diagnostics.*.html - Library/Application Support/EndlessLegend/Temporary Files/

Do not forget to convert this document in .zip.

Thanks for the reply. I have 1.0.45 S3 (32bit) installed. I play the game by carefully saving every turn, eventually it CTD's after about 10-15 turns. For the first time I've made it past T250! (WooHoo:aldersmiley: smile I'll check out the second reply.

I have an AMD Radeon HDxxxx card and have been holding out buying this game because of it. I see the issue of CTD being mentioned as fixed in a recent update. Is the game working and stable in 64 bit now? Any feedback regarding this issue is appreciated from fellow players who have AMD Radeon equipped gaming rigs.

I wanted to let everyone know that recently I switched back to the x64 version of the game and have had it running successfully for 3 full sessions with NO crashes. THis bug has apparently been resolved for me. I suggest some others of you try it now and see if x64 works for you as well.

No problem! My girlfriend also has a rig with an AMD card and is experiencing no issues with running the game in 64-bit mode.

I have bought this game recently because I love Endless Space and because of the Steam Free test (and discount) period on this game. Unluckly, I also have those crash problem while playing the game (it happens for like an hour play section). I have indeed tried to solve the problem by doing it is told how to do in the workaround post. But still the crashes are always coming back ...

I'm on Win 8.1, using a AMD RAdeon 6700 series. I just remember that I have a 32bits Win8.1 installed, maybe I should try to switch to 64bits ?

My solution for this problem...

SOLUTION

The best solution is to upgrade to a 64-bit operating system, but we understand this may not be an option for everyone. Turning down Video Options to minimum and ensuring that any unnecessary background applications are closed down may also lessen the frequency of these crashes.

4GB Tuning increases the application space to 3GB by decreasing the system space and may also help to alleviate the issue.

:

NOTE: These steps are for advanced users. Keep in mind that we are presenting these steps as-is directly from Microsoft and will not be able to provide further support with them.

32-bit Windows Vista/7/8

To enable the 4GB Tuning switch on Windows Vista™, Windows 7 or Windows 8:

1. Press Start and navigate to All Programs > Accessories.

2. Right-Click Command Prompt and open with Run as administrator.

3. In the Command prompt, enter bcdedit /set IncreaseUserVa 3072

4. Restart the computer (must restart for changes to take effect).

To disable the switch:

1. Open Command Prompt in the same manner as mentioned above.

2. In the command prompt, enter bcdedit /deletevalue IncreaseUserVa

3. Restart the computer.

ATI Video card (current drivers) user under windows 10 x64. Installed Endless Legend and was able to play for about 30-35 min each time before a hard lockup each time, requiring a forced reboot. Switched to the 32 bit version and was able to play without a problem. I'd like to play the 64 bit version one day. :-) Any progress on this issue, or is it considered resolved?

Should I follow thouse steps with 64-bit windows 10? everything else I do doesn't seem to help.
