Sorry to be a pain, I had the error when trying to start a new game that it tells me a file is missing.

I did unchecked the read only box as stated. I repaired the cache which found a missing item, repaired it which worked. However the next day attempting to create a new game again, same issue reoccurs. Attempted the cache fix again, it found missing file again but this time was not successful. When loading the game and starting new game, fails with same error. Any ideas?

Hi there. Added to windows defender exceptions. Run in administrator and compatibility win 7. Extracted manifest to the directory. Still cant generate a new world. (access denied).

Win 8.1 from steam. Ive waited for months to play the expansion!

System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Windows mono path not found: D:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\mono\mono\mini\mono.exe

Maybe it's the same thing as this one ? http://forums.amplitude-studios.com/showthread.php?495-SOLVED-End-of-turn-error-ArgumentException-Illegal-characters-in-path/page3

Does your Steam name contain "fishy" characters ?

My issue seems to be the same as Machar1us. There are two similar errors, from Bock Rogers Jr. and Nightangel, which list "Iterator94.M" rather than "IteratorA3.MoveNext" in the last line.

I have verified the integrity of the game cache and uninstalled/reinstalled the game.

Every time I launch the game, through steam, from the directory it's stored in directly, or from the desktop shortcut, it goes to the "Performing first time setup" steam window, and installs the .net 4.5.1 framework.

Haven't been able to play it since I bought it, so there are no save files to upload. It seems to be failing to generate the first world, and the tutorial also fails to play, kicking me back to the main menu. The error report is as follows:

NotImplementedException: The game creation process has failed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GameClientState_LaunchGame.GameService_CreateGameComplete (System.Object sender, Amplitude.Unity.Game.CreateGameCompleteEventArgs e)

Amplitude.Unity.Game.GameManager.OnCreateGameComplete (Amplitude.Unity.Game.CreateGameCompleteEventArgs e)

Amplitude.Unity.Game.GameManager.CreateGameAsync_CoroutineExceptionHandler (System.Object sender, Amplitude.CoroutineExceptionEventArgs args)

Amplitude.Coroutine+c__IteratorA3.MoveNext ()

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

V1.3.5 S3 (64-bit)

This appears in the red error window, behind that window there is a separate error:

The game creation has failed. (Argument cannot be null.

Parameter name: archive).

Below/attached is a snip of the actual screen displayed, as well as the zipped Diagnostics and output_log.txt files (zipped together into a single attachment).

Hey just wanted to say i found out a solution to the prob of the "access to the Worldgeneratoroutput.zip is denied" error, but its a bit long winded so bear with me:

I tried all the recommended workarounds, such as -useembedded, 32bit, windows 7 compat, administrator, and av exception, to no avail, but i did find something interesting with setting the world generator folder to not read only, when u try to do that, even if u uncheck it, whether u hit ok, or apply and then ok, as soon as u do it automatically rechecks it on its own, but doesnt say it does. So, I checked all the files in the folders properties, and none were set to readonly, so i thought thats weird, and checked the folder one level up: the "public" folders properties, same thing, readonly, same prob, cant uncheck. Here i am about to quit again for a few months, hoping for a fix by that time, and i check those files in the public folder and the same thing, none are set to readonly, but the EndlessLegend.exe has a shield on it, like its a security threat or something, but cant figure out how to set the properties so it comes up safe. As a last ditch effort i turn off my antivirus (Avast), undo all the other workarounds and boot it up, and bingo it works, i can play the tutorial and stuff!!

So i know its a very late reply but i hope the devs see this and can figure out whats up with the exe being seen as a threat and about the folder readonly thing. Also to anyone reading this try turning your antivirus off for about an hour or so, it might work, not sure about with the other workarounds along with that tho.

Has there been a workaround for this? I've tried all of the solutions listed and none of them provide me with a solution. Sometimes it works, but 95% of the times I'm getting nothing.
