Multiplayer is still very buggued and it's very frustrating

Another big source of frustration : drakkens force truce combined with retreat exploit



- I just quitted a game with a drakken player on Steam "thedamager2.0" who completely abused the drakken force peace ability.



- The situation was so frustrating and idiotic that I prefered to resign, without really fight between us. To be short : drakken can force peace when he wants, attack you when he wants, and completely protect his territory with several stack of one unit retreat actions.





The lame strategy he used were this :



- Force truce whenever everytime a war begin (I succed to kill a city with a sneak debarquement combined with a break force truce diplomatic action).

- Position 1 unit on each zone of his frontiers, to prevent any tentative to break the forced truce and siege a city).

- Moving his main army on my own land, without fearing an interception because he can force truce when he wants, for exemple after a retreat.





I really wish the devs will soon solve these totally abused drakken faculty (in the same idea, the market ban need a redesign too).

I was exaggerating a little for effect, I meant I see an awful lot of desync. And yeah, apart from one or two exceptions so far, every host I´ve seen had a least a couple of resyncs made, and a lot of time simply ignoring it.



I´ll try the log thing next time, thank you.

If your seeing that many desyncs then that's a problem. Have you tried switching hosts?



An idea is to set Dumping method to "Text" when you play and dump the desync logs and post in Tech Support. Amplitude is good at looking at these but not many players post them.

It does seem to get out of sync every two turns though. I was wondering if we were supposed to resync all the time, because that´s completely impractical.

If files are modded or versions mismatch you won't be able to join the games in multi...



I've seen similar problems as natev with specific players. Definitely see problems with high pings but could be other network related issues.



First I'd try switching hosts to see if that helps.



Also, if you see a desync, immediately go to lobby and resume the game. I've also seen where letting a desync go to long results in an unresumable error later...

I've noticed tons of errors when playing against one player in particular. Every time I play against him or her, I get serious errors like crazy. But anytime I play without that player, I don't have any problems.



Not sure what the problem is. I can't imagine it's as simple as corrupted or modded files, because doing a checksum is such a simple process that should be baked in to begin with.

I do approve the previous post. Although this game is amazing, it's still highly bugged. I think I haven't been able to finish ANY game since I bought the extentions. Fatal errors, crashes, fatal errors ...

Hope it will be fixed soon !
