Howdies o/

Happy to have found this as based on descrip. this seems great <3 I'll be happy to send lil donation via that link as thanks if get my prob. solved. Problem: I installed this earlier this evening & then launched new adventure with Broken Lords faction. After i was certain that got higher achi req. for some achis i noticed that they're not progressing. Not even after several turns. Moments ago i saved, logged out & soon plan to relog & see if they would be updated. If not then know that this Community Patch disabled achis for me at least :/

ELCP doesnt disable achievements, however having moddingtools enabled (cheat mode) does, so dont do that. Everything else would require a more thorough investigation with a savegame where the issue is reproducable and with a clear description how to reproduce the issue (!). I do not understand your second question as I dont think there is a profile page in EL.

Thanks for reply & info <3

I don't have Modding tools enabled. I only installed this & noticed that it was active when looked into bottom left @main menu while. So now even more strange why achis are disabled when they shouldn't be :/ Pst: Removed the question as now realised that i gotta send it to games2gether support crew. It was about this site :P *Update now on sunday 16:04 31.1.6021: Doing uninstall & reinstalling once / if get confirmation that this is strange temporary bug / glitch & be fixed. Wish good February to Developer of ELCP & Amplitude fans.

Oh I totally forgot: Certain handicap settings also disable achievements (read the tooltip!).

Howdies & thanks for that handicap info. I launched new campaign after i uninstalled this & then achievs worked. I didn't configure anything for this comm. patch when i installed so guess those achievs disabling handicap settings were enabled by default since they didn't then. Question: Where i configure these handicap settings ? Is it on mainpage of Endless Legend ? I recall that there's box labeled as "Mods settings" or close to that so maybe there can config.  those handicap settings. Thanks for your time & this amazing work o/ Wish you good February :)

Handicaps are not enabled by default and you configure them where you chose your color, faction etc.

Okey. Well then gotta check that tooltip section (as you mentioned lil above) with care to see which setting(s) disable them. Hope not too many cause then no good if can't adjust adventure enough to own liking. Will see & if too many then i just start to use this comm. patch after got achis with default client. Thanks, sharing good word about this patch. Take care :) Kindly: Fedaygin

It is basically on when you give them handicaps to their disadvantage that you disable the achievements. So if you set a "handicap" of +15 FIDS bonus...your achievements are fine. If you set one to -10% FIDS bonus...then you don't get achievements. If you leave the handicap setting at default which is 0% bonus...you also are safe with your achievements.

Thanks for all your work on this!

I've been playing vanilla Endless Legend for at least a decade. I make no claim of expertise despite 366 hours of play.

It was too easy on Easy mode and challenging on Normal. I decided to download and install your patch. The results were not encouraging.

Yes, you've made the AI smarter, so much so that now the only way I can win on Easy mode is as part of an alliance, usually the weak one. I'll append some typical results below.

Two other problems appeared in my two patched games:

1. I often get an offer to trade where I'd like to make a counter, but (invisibly to me) there's a second offer behind the first one; when I try to counter, the first offer goes away.

2. Broken Lords are offering way over the market price for resources. Since I don't carry the prices around in my head, I need to push the button to counter so I can see what improvement is available. In the case of Broken Lords offers, the only choice I have is to pay a lot more for the same merchandise.

I hope these observations are helpful!

You found it challenging on Vanilla Normal? Really?

On that level there is so much that the AI did not do. With the ELCP patch they finally can do basically everything that you can do.

I now play normal with the +15% or +20% bonus in the handicap section. Essentially though, lean into what your race is good at and seek alliances early.

Well there is a reason why I recommend to turn down the difficulty when switching to ELCP ;). The AI is better at using its resources (amongs many many other things). As for all other issues: as a general policy I only investigate bugs (or weird AI behaviour) when I get sent savegames where the issue is reproducable (with instructions on how to reproduce the issue if necessary).

No, not at all. The upcoming official patch will integrate a bunch of my bugfixes to the basegame, nothing else. AI, features, balance etc. will stay as it is. As for ES2: probably wont happen, EL was fun, but I cant afford to put that much time into hobby projects anymore, at least not for now.

That seems nuts.

Maybe weak A.I is by design to not scare off casuals and game site reviewers.

Wow this mod is great! I went from being able to beat endless difficulty to getting crushed in impossible difficulty. Now I'm playing on impossible with AI -15% to FIDS and its still very hard.

In the current game I'm playing I may have found two bugs.

1. Currently my luxury extractors are producing 2.5 resources per turn instead of the 1.5 expected on normal speed during summer (currently have one dorgeshi assimilated). My best guess to how it happened is during winter one of the debuffs was -1 strategic and +1 luxury extractor production. And when summer came the strategics began to produce again but the luxuries weren't brought back down to pre winter levels.

2. I'm not sure if this one is a bug or a weird game mechanic. One of my AI opponents is the Vaulters and they were laying siege to a common enemy. They conquered the city so I declared war on them and attacked their empty city and destroyed their sieging army reinforcements. So I should have captured the city (or so I thought). Instead the vaulters teleported in a huge army and wrecked me (I had attacked while the AI was still playing).

I'm not sure if its possible that the AI could have teleported units into the new city while I was in engaged in battle and this prevented city capture? If that were the case it would make rushing vaulter cities a lot harder as they could teleport units in even if you destroy the city's militia.

Edit: Reloading and trying the exact same attack I was unable to reproduce #2.

I have saves if these seem like issues worth your time

1. You probably have the era3 luxury extractor tech which yields another +1 on luxury extractors

2. If you attack a city without entering siege mode first, the city can opt out of participating in the battle and therefore will not be conquered. Its a bit of a weird rule but also in vanilla. I assume this is what happened in your case. Armies cant be teleported to cities that are in battle, but the AI will patiently wait until a battle is over and pretty much immediatly teleport its armies afterwards if it still can.

Keep in mind that giving the AI negative handicaps disables achievements ;).

1. You're right I didn't know the era 3 luxury extractor tech did that. Thanks

2. I'm using vanilla and didn't siege, so that must be why. Strange mechanic.

I've thought about playing against serious AI and giving them a large buff to FIDS to keep achievements enabled. It seems there's a large gap in power level between serious and impossible AI and I've yet to experiment with how much of a buff they would need to be comparable to impossible -15%.

Are there any known issues or ways to avoid being hit with Ardent mages's battle spells? Until now they'd been working properly, but in this one battle I cast the stun spell on the first round and its having no effect. And then I'm unable to cast any spells for the rest of the 6 rounds because that spell is supposedly still active.
