Patch 1.8.44 introduced another severe bug that prevented quests that spawn Armies/Units to do just that under certein conditions. Allayi Chapter 1 and Forgotten Chapter 1 are the most commonly reported instances. This new beta adresses the issue.

Strange bug with traine Urkans, when we spend some resource, saving game and reload, it' ll disappear.

Your work and reflex regarding the last patch is really amazing. Great THX!


But I created the account to report some bug(s):


1) While progressing from turn 32 to 33 almost whole "world progress" seems to be skipped - when turn 33 starts, no movement points are updated, neither buildings progress, tech progress etc. I am almost sure that AI suffers the same issue. The next turns work fine but the counter is shifted (empire plan can be changed at turn 41 instead of 40). It happens every game. Checked with and without additional mods.


2) I encountered it once but it looks like dust eclipse conflux bonuses can stay after eclipse ends, at least long as unit is on the map (not moved to city). This may be relevant to used mods.


I attach my save file for reference. Mods used:

You have to be a bit moire precise with your error report. I load the save, you have an urkan (Fakir), I can easily tame  another one at the same turn (Kazar) and it stays after I tame it. I also have no issue with triggering an eclipse and moving my unit. What should I do to reproduce the issues? note its helpful if the save is from right before a bug occurs.

1) I can replicate issue, its actually a pretty severe bug caused by one of the new quests. I will release a new beta where its fixed asap.


2) I would need a save where the issue is replicable (ideally the turn before eclipse ends so I can see it happening). Its possible that this bug was caused by 1), which broke quite a lot as you have noticed.

Sometimes antivirus programs are a bit overeager when it comes to small programs/exe files from unknown source. You'll just have to trust me and the fact that no one else. Note that you can also use the zip file and copy all the files manually into your EL folder after scanning its contents (antivirus shouldnt find anything wrong with the zip file I believe).

I checked your save and could replicate be issue. It will be fixed in the next beta (however saves where the bug already appeared cant be fixed).

I did not express myself clearly. Eclipse bug happened and I didn't do attention at the turn, but bodygardus find it so. The other bug is about Urkan formation, I spend all luxury resources at this turn for this beast, next turn, the traning stays but when you load you save, the training is gone. I checked with different new game and Urkans, same problem, try to buy in the market the luxury necessary, use it in the formation, save the game after this and load it, will see:-).

I understand,  I think that bug has the same cause as the bug bodyguardus has reported, and it should therefore be fixed with the new version (it wont bring you abilities back from past saves, but if you save in the future, everything should work out again).




New Beta released

  • Fixed an issue with certain MT quests breaking the "flow of turns" (empire plans, constructions, research, etc. being paused for one turn) 
  • Fixed a bug introduced by 1.8.44 where in multiplayer games, DLC units didnt get textured properly for clients that dont have the corresponding DLC
  • Implemented a workaround that (hopefully!) prevents multiplayer saves "disappearing" under certain conditions 
  • Fixed confluxes not being loaded correctly when a game is loaded while eclipse is active, leading to weird issues like conflux bonuses not disappearing on eclipse end  and researched urkan abilities not being saved

Yeah I bet some of the quests still have issues. That is honestly Amplitudes job, report to them, I wont touch quests for now (except for gamebreaking bugs).

New Beta released


  • Adresses some AI issues on the Auriga map  
    • AIs where confused by regions without villages  
    • AIs didnt research shipyard when they should due to missing continent data
  • Implements a workaround for an issue with multiplayer savegames where clients couldnt join the lobby correctly
