Hello.

The only thing what I hope it's to see them a real different gameplay.

Forgottens are not balanced but they are a total succes in this point of view of innovation. I hope game designers will be bold with this new race and features.

I assume that they are native to Auriga but they might be the opposite side of the Necrophages but my opinion might change depending on what their stats are.

hoping for some kind of food mechanic as well.

Shifters will be a content pack, that is, a paid extra content. Pricing TBA.

From the art, it seems like their hero is holding a bow and is ranged.

I think the Allayi might be the ancient faction mentioned in the Eyeless Ones questline. I also suspect they have some connection to the guardians, and perhaps even the personified Auriga of the trailers.

The idea and the art looks awesome.

I thought from early access that a faction that changes depending on the season, or is adapted to winter instead of summer was a good idea.

Just one question: this expansion will be free or paid DLC. Asking because I'll have to buy ES2 and this expansion for sure, but my time to play is very limited, and depending on the price I'll probably wait for an offer on ES2 or Shifters. Pretty sure not the only one asking this.

I've been speculating on the ancient history of the Allayi, and whether they are natives of Auriga or creations of the Endless, or a mixture of both.

It seems to me, based on their bond with the planet, that they might be native. Moreover, their affinity with pearls might also be an indication, if these peals are an Auriga phenomenon that precedes the Endless. In addition, it is of interest to note how the Scyther unit is similar to the Allayi, down to the wings. It is possible that the Endless were inspired by the Allayi, when designing the tools they used for the purge of Auriga.

If the Allayi are native to Auriga, then it would create an interesting dynamic. We would have another faction that hates the Endless, like the Cultists. But what would be more interesting is the parallel they would have with the Drakken. Both would be native species to Auriga, but one worships the Endless while the other does not. Indeed, it is possible that the Drakken were uplifted by the Endless to counter the Allayi.

Another theory is that the Endless created the Allayi, by using the manta as a basis (assuming the manta itself is native). It seems like the manta has a unique tie to the planet, which the Allayi have been made to share through splicing.

I'm more intrigued by the former theory. I'm eager to see their faction video, where hopefully we'll get to know more about them.

That's a shame, the white / orange and black / blue combos looked nice. I thought that the faction colour would be on their armour / garments.

Since I am OCD and decide that every faction has a specific colour that I never deviate from, I've decided to the Allayi will be coloured white (mods). So white / white and white / black.

Indeed, it won't be orange / blue outlines during summer and winter on 3D models, but, as far as I know it will be on 2D arts (as these assets don't adapt to empire colors)

Beautiful and amazing art style. Seasonal manic depressive bat babies is one of the weirdest and most awesome concepts I've ever heard.

I wonder, where will the faction colour be on them? Is the blue in the equipment screen the faction color? If so, then it won't be orange / blue outlines during summer and winter, as I had thought based on the art work.

I'm eager for the Facts & Concept Art devblog, in particular about the rationale behind the beautiful city design. It looks oddly futuristic, but also very harmonious and organic.

I'm curious to hear more about the "Pearls of Auriga". Maybe you can add some more "dev-diaries" until the expansion is released ?

Is there going to be an accompanying patch ? If yes, what other changes can we expect ?

I sure hope that it changes the winter for everyone, meaning that different players may try to alter it differently and thus prepare for the upcoming winter differently. When winter comes, everyone finds out what the real deal is ^^
