When we played the very first alphalphaalpha, the trees remained and you couldn't see what happenned due to that

In the video the textures looked really nice and even but I was wondering about those trees during the battle scene. The tree are flat and appear to be drawn in, I am going o guess that it is so you cans see your units in the forest during the battle. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

You are. I know you can't *say* you are, but it's obvious that you're talking about Endless Legend to us.

Which makes sense, because A) I'm almost certain EA starts next week. Monday or Friday, but I'm guessing Monday and B ) everything has been building up recently, including the fourth reveal of a race, which if memory serves me, was how many Endless Space started with in Alpha.

So, I'm calling it now, with all of the press buildup and the *almost certain* release of a "tutorial" video from Panczau, we will see EA this week.

AND I COULDN'T POSSIBLY BE MORE EXCITED.

I hate the word "soon". It's never accurate in accordance with my interpetation of it's meaning =( Wish devs would start using better terms like, say, "3 days, 2 hours, 24 min and 10 seconds at current posting" =p Seriously, how soon is soon?

Love the video, it's good to finally see something of the actual gameplay and it's getting me excited to get my hands on it. Just don't take to long on getting it out there =3

The map isn't "simplified", it's just a "visual" representation for easier reading while you choose where you deploy your units.

And the bribe option will empty your economy easily if you don't take care of it. So, you should be careful with it.

Anyway, balance will be a thing for beta, even if the devs are trying to get some balance early.

The game map seems to simplify terrain when in tactical combat.What is the thinking behind that.

Bribing a minor race to join seems a bit too easy.ES's economy gets a bit ridiculous mid game and did not scale very well as you swim is cash and rush build most things.

Still no ships spotted.Can we confirm naval battles are not included?

I look forward to early access.

Man this could be the one.FE was a sum of its parts game without being great in any area.AOW3 was a good tactical focused game but lacked in strategy.This looks like it has everthing including a great theme that fits into gameplay not seen since AlphaCentuari.

This one shows the hero skill tree. Looks deep enough to provide some tough choices, but not so deep that it gets too complicated for a 4X:

Here is the city placement icon. Looks well thought out and informative, showing potential yields of each hex!:

This game looks to be a true winner for me. I liked Endless Space, but I think I'll ADORE Endless Legend. "Fantasy" 4X is much more my flavor, anyway...I've probably watched this video a dozen times. So much new information. I really think that it's because EA is around the corner.

Please say that Early Access starts next week!
