you could have a system of religion points that you could use to maybe have special events happen in-game.

in endless legend is there any chance religion may be added as a game mechanic? i would personally love to see all sorts of strange alien religions. religion could affect diplomacy, prestige, and fids. also i think that religion would add a great deal of depth to the game's story. feedback would be welcome.

funnily enough I do remember that bit from Star Trek Into Darkness. I do not think we would be allowed to have a space ship in EL. That would be awesome though anyway. Something similar to do could work. It was more to do with goblins tribes in Elder Scrolls Oblivion. There two Goblin tribes fighting and in the middle is a group trying to set up a new settlement. You can take each goblin tribes totems and put them into each other camp and the goblins go to war. Put each one back into the correct camp they would be at piece. You could them for yourselves and then stick them into some random Goblin tribe camp and then a war would break out between the tribes.

did you see star trek into darkness? the part in the beginning where the natives start worshipping the enterprise was great. thats a lot like what you suggested dark meph

religion probably only appear in ES as a DLC and possibly involving a new race. Since we had no response from any of the developers I would surmise that they are not thinking about this for EL

Religion would be interesting, and could even have an application in Endless Space (new victory?)! I'd love to see something like this.

Yeah I would prefer that idea if they put religion into the game. As I could see that stealing a religious item(s) could have an affect too especially if it a minor faction. Holding a religious artefact could maybe help speed up diplomacy of taking over a minor faction without having to use force.

I think that if they ever did make a religion mechanic then they should make a possibility of it being comical. I mean like actually being able to have a religion based around the money god or the magical rainbow unicorn from space god rather than the serious gloomy religions in other games.

Maybe for the prestige, the more prestige a religion's host countries have, the faster the religion would spread.

Yes, I do have a Sheredyn avatar, and no not all Sheredyns worship money. Just the vast majority.
