More Details on the Digital Deluxe Edition

Hi everyone,

Tomorrow is the big day! Endless Space 2 will be available on Steam Early Access at 7pm (CEST - Paris time).

We've updated the minimum requirements on the Steam store page, so feel free to have a look to make sure your PC can run it. Here they are anyway:

Minimum:

OS: Windows (64bits only) 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10
Processor: i3 4th generation / i5 2nd generation / A6 series
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: AMD Radeon 5800 series / NVidia 550Ti
DirectX: Version 11

Sound Card: DX11 compatible
Additional Notes: Minimum Resolution: 1280 x 720

Also, you will be able to choose from two editions of Endless Space 2:

The Standard Edition available at $39,99 / £34,99 / € 39,99, with a 25% discount ($29,99 / £26,24 / € 29,99)
The Deluxe Digital Edition available at $49,99 / £44,99 / € 49,99, also with a 25% discount ($37,49 / £33,74 / € 37,49), which contains the digital soundtrack by FlybyNo and cosmetic in-game bonuses inspired by the Pathfinders of the Academy.

Note that the Founder Bonuses are only available during the Early Access. Those bonuses are the Cravers Prime fleet skin, a special forum award, G2G points, forum avatars and a unique forum title!

but to be honest dont be afraid I think it will be like Endless Space One. Free choosable fleet designs for your races.

I wonder if that deluxe hero is hinting at Vaulters being one of the unrevealed factions.

Either Vaulters or United Empire I think.

But the Devs loves the Vaulters though I dont know which of them I would like more actually. Vaulters had their showtime already(EL) but UE is well yeah the generic evil human empire.

(Though on the otherside I dam loved the gameplay of the UE in Endless Space One)

If you look back to Endless Legend, the Vaulters had an alternate skin, the Mezari - so I think you'll find they'll have a second Cravers faction called 'Prime' or something else badass.

Alternatively, it might just affect the Custom Factions - it was hinted at that we can again choose our Custom Factions' appearance (Missed that feature in EL), though I'm not sure if this is true or not, it may have simply been misspoken. Having watched MasterOfRoflness' videos on ES2, I'm sceptical of a Vodyani Custom Faction with, say, Sophon's appearance - what about the Ark? Will it still be Vodyani? A sleek new Sophons design? Or will it be invisible?

Going away for the weekend, still deciding whether to put bootcamp on my laptop also. If it's as good as it looks, I probably will.

8 total. The Unfallen (who will likely be last as they're the contest faction) and 3 unknowns.

16 total minor factions (of which six are complete) as well.

And I'm thinking vaulters just because of the helmet symbol.

I need this feature in ES 2.

I JUST NEED IT

It makes the creation of custom factions so much more fun. I want for example to create a bloodthirsty Unfallen race which burns flesh aliens and chop them with axes.

Interesting to see that you actually decided to give the Cravers a special skin for the founders/digital deluxe edition. From the 2 iconic races of ES1 which are in the game so far you went for the Cravers. Good choice in my opinion. The Cravers are starting to become a staple in this universe. And to be fair a new skin for the Sophons would look kind of boring given their clean and plastic design. Nothing to really work with. The Cravers skin looks really good though!

I think I am going with the Digital Deluxe Edition. Oh and than there is the Tempest add on for EL.... Sorry CIV6 you will have to wait.

The re-skin looks similar to the ships shown in the Cravers intro. My guess is that they will be doing something similar to the Mezzari and have the Prime cravers as another possible faction for those that unlock it.
