You can have them for free, just do the coding and artwork yourself, and you won't be out a penny.
I'm with the others in this thread. I actually quite like the lore in this series (And its offshoots). I would love to see it ALL brought in, and I'm always happy to give Amplitude more support. Worst-case scenario, hopefully we have a super-SDK this time around, and we can fill any holes in the faction list.
Why not something new instead of dlc's you dont make something i call expansion(s) it is never done before in pc gaming history and you will hit top of sales.
I think DLC's should do more than add factions that are just variations of existing factions, things like new galactic phenomena, game changing events, new research tree branches, basically a DLC should make it such that the game would play very different with the DLC than without.
I would definitely pay for it IF the factions are indeed unique. That is, different play styles like Harmony, Broken Lords, Forgotten, etc. (I may have a bias for folks who can't use a particular resource.) Some of the factions seem too similar that they wouldn't be worth the money, imo. Case in point, Cravers and Necrophages seem similar. And the empire and those space soldier folk.

I would definitely pay for it. Faction variety is a very important factor to enjoy the game, for me. The more numerous and different they are, the more I'm happy.
