The style, the shapes, the names - even the concept of Pearls of some sort.

They're both shiny and white you mean?

The Vaulters are sort of implemented ( UE -> Mezari if the devs make the ships design also change respectfully that would be wonderful). Still I really want to see the improved design of the Vaulters ( Just like the UE style was improved ).

Speaking about UE and Riftborn, I think that it is just the UE that is quite xenophobic. Nearly every game I play I come to an alliance of Mezari ( I always choose this questline. In the memory of the Vaulters )and Riftborn. And it feels quite logical. Both Mezari and Riftborn are interested in science. Both are rational ( not like Sophons that are also interested in science)

Spoiler :

The end of the Riftborn outro is a bit terrorizing (like most of the factions, in fact). If they can do that for everything the universe is doomed.

The only difference is instead of loving of nature, they fear and hate it.

Makes sense. The Sower end-game was terraforming everything into a tundra planet, where Riftborn want to make it less habitable, not more.

Yup, but I actually talk about style, not functions and gameplay.
And as we started: who are the Unfallen? Kinda Automatons maybe?

The Vaulters were in many of the Beta's event screens. The BL were in one. These appear not to exist anymore, but formerly, the government change screen showed OpBot and a Vaulter.

Zolya clan is simply too badass and too russian to be written out. There are few references in ES2. Hope, there will be Vaulters eventually.

Ok, the Riftorn is ES2's Allayi.
The Vodyani is something between Broken Lords and Cultists.
The only question is:
WHERE DA FUC ARE VAULTERS?!

When it comes to like or dislike, I first look at the style. not a game mechanics. And from that side I like Allayi: they are so poetic, emotional, bright and colorful - I really anjoy it.

Exept the fact Allayi are ecologist-fanatic-annoying bats retarded as fuk specialized in easter egg hunt, and Riftborns are almost perfect-geometric-extra-dimensional genius as gorgeous as interesting, i agree with you !

There are at least three clear depictions in game or in official art of combat between the United Empire and the Riftborn. Once in the wiki page for the Riftborn themselves, once in an in-game loading screen, and in the intro video for the Unfallen (The skirmish that "wakes" the Unfallen up is between the Riftborn and the United Empire). I don't know about you, but to me, I think this is noteworthy enough to speculate about there being a canon Riftborn/United Empire war in the "official" Endless timeline, whatever that means.

Is it just me?

Ouch!

I play Pacifist Riftborn... but the Pacifist Quest Ending is pretty depressing and bleak.

What happens, if I may ask?

Basically...... SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

They are unable to save Coroz as the Blight pretty much consumed everything there. So they order the evacuation of as many individuals as possible to our universe and hope for the best.

Meanwhile, all the scouts sent back to Coroz either never return or come back insane. The Blight aparently is changing, evolving into something unknown.

One of the scouts infected by the blight manages to survive and develop some neat (dust?) abilities and the Viceroy wants to implement those new changes on a larger scale.

That's what I remember anyway. I might have missed a detail here and there but that's the general gist of it. Not only do you fail to save Coroz and leave it to fester in its corruption, but the crazy viceroy goes ahead and infects the population with blight, learning nothing from the destruction of their homelands, all in the name of survival.

Quest is also bugged, because the Riftborn pops don't give +9 dust per turn, they give the basic 5.

It would be great if the questline would also cosmetically change your pop to a cool "Tainted Riftborn" skin. It's not fair that the UE questline can change the empire so drastically while  all the other factions get nuttin'.
