BTW, I think it will be fair that consuming a minor faction this way, means you lose the bonus trait that comes with said faction.

Well, if Cravers are cattle breeders and an industry force, they should be able to transform their cattle into sources of . Or stuff, like approval, or manpower.

Exotic feast could eat the minor faction guy and provide the Cravers guys a faction bonus for a couple of turns :)

This way, they would look to aquire or capture minor factions population in the purpose to eat them because they have another benefit than food (= more population grow).

Ex: 6 Cravers eating 1 Pilgrim with Exotic Feast would give them +6 , and +12 if the planet have an anomaly, and some food.

The problem is still targeting population. You would want to eat this guy specifically, on this planet, and lock the craver population on this planet until the Exotic Feast is over.

Or, make bonuses expand to system, by giving say +2 or  or  or  / population for each Craver in the system, depending of the minor faction you just ate - ex: any Sophon or Pilgrim give Science, any Amoeba gives Food, any Lumeris gives Dust, any Hisho gives manpower, any UE gives Empire points, etc.

Eating your ennemies would give them their strength, aka Maya style. If they could capture populations, maybe this would give them new war goals, since they have to make wars to anyone. They capture a system, take the foreign population to their planet (to be done), breed them by giving them food using the normal gamesystems, then eat the excess with this (anyone that give disapproval malus to cravers politics). Cattle breeders.

"Not only food bonuses" is a small boost they could profit. Because they have very low devellopement opportunities, compared to other factions. They are always in war, so they must produce ships & manpower instead of buildings.

To acheive this, you would have to drag & drop the eated guy into the production chain. To target the population specifically, I really think it's the more natural thing to do in UI. Otherwise, you would have a production list poluted by an Exotic Feast item for each foreign faction in your system + the Cravers one (canibalism because why not: for exemple in a game, if it's Cravers vs Cravers vs Cravers).

If you make this, please, pretty please, add a pitched "ooooooh noooooes !!!" sound when droping the poor guy ! :) :) :)

These are great ideas!

I even thought of including something similar initially, but I tried to keep it simple instead so that it would have better chance of getting greenlit. =)

Well, perhaps there could be a craver-unique tech that 'upgrades' exotic feast in that fashion.... not only netting them food, but also approval bonuses for a short period of time. Why wouldn't the Hive celebrate a massive feast, especially one that rids them of unwanted, non-craver population?

Hey, we won't judge you for liking the other one.

This or (yada, yada, *auto promo*) drag'n droping foreign factions into manpower creation.

I honestly don't understand why this haven't been upvoted, this would solve a lot of stuff.

Too much Sophon ? => let's send them in space adventures.

Space ?! Spaaaaaaace.

But if they are dropped in Manpower, doesn't that mean that the ground troops are pops from that faction?

Why have a Sophon ground invasion army (that already have penalties), and not a Craver one?

This could work for other factions, but Cravers don't make warriors of other factions, they eat them.

Perfect. Wouldn't be difficult for the devs to take this and throw it into the game along the lines of +50 food for 5/10 turns.

Or, you know, the community modding it in once modding is possible.

That could work too, but for my proposal what I had in mind was something like how Stockpile works for the Necrophages in EL.

Edit: How are baby cravers made, what do the lore nerds/hobby xenologists say?

They are born adults apparently, like the Uruk Hai.

I came up with an idea on how to get rid of minor/major factions in a Craver Empire.

https://www.games2gether.com/endless-space-2/ideas/147-the-easiest-way-to-get-rid-of-minor-factions-as-a-craver

Basically all we need is a project like Exotic Rations that can convert foreign pop into either Cravers or food. This works in a similar fashion stockpile worked for Necrophages in EL.

Thoughts?

Back on topic:

After some thought, I believe that the second option of converting the foreign pop into food is more fitting than just replacing it with a Craver.

You can also time it when the next Craver is about to grow.

Agree. The first would fit better with a race that hatches by busting out of other races chests ;)

Nah, just fooling around out of pure boredom.

The idea is still valid. All text is TBD.

I think this is deviating from a good idea to something obscene and nasty for extremely depraved tastes...

Good luck I voted the idea before it was censored :D
