Faction Creation Contest | Game Design

Hey guys and gals!

Thanks to all of you who participated, voted, or both! The Endless Space 2 Faction Creation attracted 185 submissions! There were some hiccups along the way, so we tried to find a compromise that would be the fairest to all participants. To that end, we selected the top twelve most popular entries, instead of the usual three. We know this doesn't solve all issues that were brought up, but we hope this alleviates them. Moving forward, we'll be proceeding a little differently to make sure that everybody gets a fair chance.

Just wondering, are you going to pick the top few from phase one to go through and then their creators will decide the look for their own factions or will everyone get to participate in coming up with the look for the winning faction of phase one?

I'm quite new to Games2Gether.

I'm quite new to Games2Gether.

I believe that The Unfallen faction is the only one that goes through and then everyone is able to participate in deciding the look.

Hah, didn't even see that connection at first. Congratulations DevilDog and the Unfallen he concieved, and thanks to Carolean for the nice graph. Given the relative closeness of the vote, I suppose it's not surprising there was some tension between the two top choices. Hopefully, as suggested, it's mostly blown over.

I just wanted to thank you all, the community, for the votes placed for The Unfallen. I was up against some incredibly tough competition and some great ideas, and I am incredibly humbled and ecstatic that The Unfallen was chosen! A special thanks to Carolean7 for the frequent showing of sportsmanship and good attitude. If I wasn't in the contest, he would have had my vote with his entry.

I can't wait to see the illustrations that the community comes up with.
