It happened last night. New computer on hand, I got to play the game the way it was meant to play. No down time between turns. No lag between initiation of combat and combat itself. No stuttering. Everything was set on high.

Wow, what a beautiful game. I thought I enjoyed it before, but I was wrong. This game is awesome!!!

One more turn syndrome, it lasted for four more hours.

It rocked!!!

Great job devs, great job!!!

Now I need to get half a gallon of coffee to make sure my eyes don't close today, until tonight that is!!!!

I'm happy for you, but the amount of exclamation marks surely suggest you should go to bed and lie down to cool down and sleep, urgently! XD

Nos - I tend to play on random settings, and on my first try I even had a starting position that didn't suck massively. So yea, I attribute it all to my new computer.

My appreciation for the game swings radically based on whether I'm playing on my POS laptop or my desktop. Its not the game's fault. I get equally frustrated with just about anything I play on my laptop.

I think the !!! is caused by the caffeine... and yeah, I understand how it's like playing it on the laptop, I do that too usually, easier access, but man it's slow at times!

Perhaps, perhaps.

It happened again!!!!!!!!!!

Gallon sized jug of coffee notwithstanding, but the game is better when you can actually see what's going on and it happens fast enough that you get to see turn progression in a single sitting.

I am going to have some more critical assessments of the game (in a good sense) forthcoming.

Congratulation! Once you've overcome that initial hardware hurdle, clicking end turn just once more is so much easier.

That is very true. I am looking at the game in a whole new light.
