First off, does scrapping a ship in a system you own add its production value to the current project, if there is one? If not, it would sound like a good idea to add.



Secondly, how many unhired Heroes can you have in your Academy? I've got to 3 and it's stopped looking for new heroes. It seems stuck at 7 turns for next new hero. Was this intentional? I put this here, rather than in Tech Support, as I was uncertain whether or not it was a bug.

You can have up to 8 heroes in the acadamy but you need to get certain techs to unlock more slots. Those techs are all located in the left tech-tree.

Thank you for reminding me about having to research techs to unlock max slots. I have in fact done so, all 8 slots are filled, and some heroes are lining up at the bottom waiting to be hired. As I said, the excess heroes at the bottom got to 3 and then the counter to next hero froze at 7. Strange, no?

Hmm, might be that independantly from your amount of slots you still can only have 3 unhired heros at once.

I've never seen that because I usually hired new heros as soon as I activated the tech.

Yes, if I remember right this "un-hired hero" cap is hard coded into the game so that the player cannot stockpile an array of heroes, not pay for them, and hire them when the occasion demands.



Keep in mind, anc, that you can expel the undesired un-hired heroes to keep the turn timer moving.

Ah, another response from the awesome Development Team to my queries. I am truly flattered and humbled. Most clever of you to mention the Expel command. I quite forgot about that. It would allow me to get a new pool of unhired heroes until I get the one I want. I'm trying to get Galdos AI so I can clone him and thus can get the Clone Galdos AI Achievement. smiley: smile God bless for your courteous response. smiley: smile
