I am a huge fan of sci-fi swarms of tyranid/zerg/whoever else alike and the first thing I do when I get a sci-fi game is checking if there is such a thing as swarm. Unfortunately, ES doesn't have such a race or something close to it.



So here is my question: how do I replicate a swarm using what is avaliable in ES? How do I customise the race? is there anything more fitting than amoeba ship design? Can I use cravers planet depleeting mechanics when I create a new race?

Well, you can use the craver affinity, so yes, you can take that mechanics. For your purposes, militarism (cheaper ships) and fast expansion traits like more food production, bad science, but science/destroyed cp could work, if you manage to find a foe, early on. Or some pirates.
