I saw some mention of this when I did a search, but found no definite answers. Posted here for your consideration is a screenshot of one of my systems:







Obviously, I have some massive income from my trade routes which totals more than the Dust income that is posted for my system (I've hovered over my Dust breakdown to aid analysis.) Why are my trade routes not being counted for their full amounts?

I also have noticed that something seems to be wrong with trade route bonus calculations. I played a game as a custom amoeba and the trade route summary said I had over 13,000 research from trade routes using roughly the same setup as what you have shown plus the unique amoeba trade bureaus tech. However the research screen said I only had 12,000 research a turn from my whole empire. So at the very least various screens aren't showing what we are actually earning with really beefed up trade routes or the trade routes aren't earning nearly what the trade route displays are saying we are.



Also I saved the game one turn and checked the progress I made on a top tier research subject for the next two turns. Then I loaded the game and changed my three big trade systems production from trade bureaus to actual buildings thereby massively (at least 5k) reducing my research according to the trade window but two turns later my progress on that research subject was only 400 - 500 less points so something is literally not adding up here.

The only alternative I can think of is if the calculations on the individual trade routes are wrong, and the actual output shown for the system is correct. But I did have lots of bonuses on those routes; my hero had all the abilities providing percentage increases to them, plus the tunneled slipgates (and as a side note, how lucky was I to get the tunneled slipgates in the same system where one of the moon temples added 2 trade routes to the system?)

I believe the calculations are done at the end of turn when you press the button to end your turn. You can go into empire view and adjust your tax rate and set it back and it recalculates those values. Some of the other users will be able to help more as they understand the game mechanics that I do.

I tried waiting until the next turn as well as adjusting the tax rate, but there was no major update to the income values.
