I have yet to get an update from steam



I have uninstalled and re-installed the game but still no update from steam am i missing something?

What version do you have then? If you reinstall, you will get the most current version right away and there won't be any additional updates.

Uninstalling and reinstalling is a bit harsh, but normally it should solve everything. Did you maybe get the patch before knowing it?



In any case, please check the version number in the main screen of ES (right after starting ES and clicking away all the trailers) in the bottom left corner.

The up to date version has "Endless Space master version Disharmony 1.1.27" on it.



If you do have another version, you can try restarting steam. If that doesn't help, you should change your download server by going to steam->preferences->downloads and changing the download-region. Maybe there's been no distribution of the update to your download-region? Would be strange, but that's the last thing I can think about.

I would think with the number of times steam updates it would be able to download new content a little more effectively. But guess when it installs an update for 15 min. every time I launch it misses the important stuff (I have had the same problem in the past)
