Hi Macsen here, thought I'd let you know about my NEW Search for Auriga Let's Play on YouTube.

EDIT: Playlist Link https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHMuUHsmNFlQWlqG0ku08C4H0yHQBmwLE

GAME SETTINGS: Cravers, Impossible, 8 Empires, Large Ring Galaxy, All other options set to default. 1.1.27 patch. 1080p maximum graphic settings.

I add a lot of extra information in annotations so it might be best to watch from YouTube I'm not sure if the embedded video player will show them. Click the Watch on YouTube symbol.

New video everyday until completion at 16:00 GMT on my channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/MacsenGaming There's another older Disharmony LP on there, as well as Civ5 Brave New World and Europa Universalis 4 LP's.

This LP is not really aimed for people who stomp all over Endless difficulty every game without fail and I mention a lot of basic things a lot of regular forumites will know but please check it out and leave a comment, if you like Endless Space and Let's Plays you might like it.

Macsen.

I might watch how you go.

After a break of not playing ES, I cant seem to build up my empire very well, and my fleets are just as bad, so it'll be interesting to see if ES is still a land grab game, and how invading is best done when fighting across multiple fronts.

@Igncom1 I think the LP should be pretty helpful for you from what you said in your comment. The games still sort of a land grab but no where near as bad as it was. I had one game many patches ago where I colonized about 25-30 planets (Huge Map) in that game on endless and the AI just let me, no DOW's.

The AI is much improved now and is a lot more aggressive in rushing you early on. If the nearest AI's are some distance from you they attack/get attacked by another AI it makes the game a lot easier, otherwise you have to get a fleet up with a hero in quite quickly nowadays.

Yeah playing an eternal war race is now quite annoying the AI will hate you and attack you everywhere they can.

Well isn't that how it should have been? I never understood the original version of this trait, meaning its like saying "We're not serious" or something.

Yeah the fact that they war you is logical but...

annoying is the fact that the AI tents to produce useless ships en mass sending then into suicide battles i dont like it when i got 10 battles a turn -.-

I think it's just a factor of the AI being more aggressive in general why it's more noticeable. You're never going to be able to get a good relations score with anyone if you don't have the ability to do diplomacy e.g. trades/co-operation agreements/peace/alliance, so all things being equal an AI will target the race they have the worst relations with which invariably is an always war race.

I've not tried that type of universe yet. Seems like it makes for a less hectic start. By that I mean you're at turn 32 and no one has declared war on you yet. I'm watching your progress on my lunch hours. Good Luck. - Jim

Thanks Jim. I'm not sure what the average DoW from the AI is on impossible but yeah turn 32 is pretty standard for the games on Endless I've played. I may have got lucky with the start location or perhaps the AI's are already at war.

From the few times I've played Galaxy Ring it can be quite challenging your basically guaranteed to start next to 2 empires (not all maps are) though rarely more, and both empires will be in opposite directions so if both declare war on you that can be very tricky.

It can be be a difficult map to explore as well, though that's not such an issue with the cravers since they can't trade, so other than finding planets to colonize and enemy capitals exploration isn't so important.
