Can't convert production to food once you build the food -> production improvement

I can understand the problem as you would end up with an infinite loop once the system is at max population. However, it makes perfectly good sense when the system isn't at maximum population.



I believe the real fix here is to change how the production -> food option works. At present it works like the -> science and -> dust options and goes to infinity. That's wrong--the -> food option should complete when the system is at maximum population.

Hmm, usually, since the upkeep cost is a waste until the population is maxed, the player chooses to not build AIS until the population maxes out, so (understandably) it may have not been noticed or seen as important.

The industry -> food option only exists for Harmony and they don't pay upkeep.



Besides, making the industry -> food terminate at max pop would be a convenience in other cases also.

Convenient, perhaps. But not altogether necessary.



And I wasn't talking about the Harmony, I was talking about the Sowers smiley: wink

It would be a better fix than the current one of simply eliminating the option once you have the food -> industry building.
