The disadvantage is that some buildings are prioritized a little too high by the AI and you can't prevent it from building some that you might not want at all.

Unless you mod it. Which is what I did.

Then the only real disadvantage is that you can't use it in Multiplayer.



Other than that I don't see much disadvantage with it. You can always keep track of what the AI is trying to build in the summary and overwrite it with your own queue.

There's even some advantages: The AI will never leave the queue run empty and it will always notice when all planets are full population and then switch the exploitation.
