A.I struggles to take planets with Disharmony mechanics.

I have played a fair few large games now and think the A.I needs some work on sieges and more important troop ships.



Basically the A.I starts sieges and then seems to pull them out for no apparent reason a fair bit.The massive amount of easy defence techs with low upkeep make it easy to fortify beyond the A.I capability too.



The biggest issue is I have not seen a single faction A.I land troops or even bomb my planets.The new troop ship module basically makes planet conquering blitzkrieg pace with organized fleets.In my experience it feels like an exploit playing the A.I while using them.I can conquer half the galaxy while they are stuck sieging on the same planet.



Please work on the A.I to prioritise troop research and getting troop ships fleet into the field.

The AI not using troops once again comes down to bad ship-designs-templates, which I called out to be the greatest weakness of the AI before.



For example the UE:

For some reason there are 14 ship-design-templates for invasion-ships. Only 4 of these use troops.

A much smaller number of invasion-templates and all of them using troops would be better.

Tech-Priority for going for troops is also an easy fix. (if there even is a problem with that)



Good thing is: This all is modable. Bad thing is: Who will actually sit down and do it? ^^

Really, the developers should design mechanics and programme the A.I so it knows how to play the game they sell and not unpaid modders.

The AI should definitely make more use of troops. I've occasionally had them come close to taking a system through pure overwhelming fleet invasion strength and a multi-front strategy, but I've always been able to beat them back in the last turn before they take it. I think I lost one system once.
