No/Few improvement balances since release?

Hi all,



I've come back to the expansion due to the steam sales, since I first played this a lot at release, and I was going to ask, have they not made all that many balance changes to the star system improvement FIDS bonuses and the tech tree?



I remember that on release, there were a handful of optimal tech orders that were variations on each other and gave you the must-have improvements at the most explosive pace, such that you really wanted to take very similar tech paths with only minor variations based on race. The problem persisted even when they patched in the racial tech trees. Taking a precursory glance at the tech tree... the stock market seems pretty bad still... have these FIDS/improvement imbalances still not been addressed? Is there a community rebalancing mod for the new expansion?



If not and a lot of you veterans agree that the best tech orders/PI build orders and are close to no brainers, then I will probably start a simple balancing mod based on the community's strategies to address it. Thanks!!

The new fids-values for the planets themselves actually did change the improvement-balancing quite a lot.



I'd say that the incentive for the Ind/Science-Tree might even be a little too low, whereas the expansion and the Food/Dust/Approval-Tree are to be preferred.

The most OP building from back then, which was the +40 Science-Building was severely nerfed, where you really should think if it's still worth rushing. I personally don't think so.

If you don't have them enemy will outscale you.



Admin with labor still gives big headstart.

No kidding. After running 3/3 on both of these for every faction I've played for a while, I made a faction that could only spare 1/3 to Militarist (probably a mistake). Colony ships seemed to take forever.

Builders is far not that important on fast speed as it is on normal speed due the math.
