The plan

The idea is to create a competitive multi-player feature for the game. An organised system of ways for clans, guilds, and corporations can compete for territory within the universe fighting of different sectors in the game. The plan is to create a fictional universe where teams would compete over galaxies/sectors. Each sector would be a different galaxy. The sectors would be based upon the type, size, and age of a galaxy creating the opportunity for teams to battle over many sectors. I'm still piecing things together and I'm also interested to know how many people would be interested in such a thing and if it would be even worth doing. If people are interested in the idea it would be great if some of you could help out in the creation of this.

Yes and kind of like the WoT clan wars map but then as a universe. http://worldoftanks.com/clanwars/maps/globalmap/

i think that if you made competitive multiplayer, you'd need a lot more balanced maps than the usual. for example i don't think it would be fair if one of the players spawned with lots of tier one planets right next to Auriga.

You could just set the balance of resources and planet types to perfect.

there is no real *perfect*



for example *perfect* at system distribution only means that each player starts with the same number of Systems in his Start Pocket, which doesnt includes the number of Planets nor their Tier or anomalies.

also you can't have homeworlds spawning next to each other either.
