Are these features missing or just hard to find?

Yeah if the window would scroll up when you drag this would also achiev the same effect as an "Adding something TO THE TOP OF THE QUEUE" Button.

As a new player who has a habit of planning out what a system should be doing far in advance, I have been hoping something like the 'add to top of queue' function was just something I missed smiley: frown

I think the other ideas are pretty good too, except if you condensed multiple copies of the same item to one entry with 'x#', how would you know how many turns are needed to complete each individual item?

At least they should get this right on Endless Legend.

I wouldn't mind paying ~$2-4 for a DLC that upgraded the UI, upgraded AI options, and had a long list of bug fixes (maybe add some extra SP options).

Every single window should have a "maximize" button to make it 3-4 times the size. The queue is sufficient early game but late game when you're mass producing ships and suddenly you have a new improvement to build, it's terribly annoying. This would also fix the issue of needing a "queue at the top" since you could actually see more than 4 things; same goes for the tiny battle screen UI.

There should be a basic button to queue more than 1 unit at a time.

+1 on this. I'm only on my first normal game and this has been annoying me for minutes.

Think we have a winner, #1 alone would make it so much better!

If you have more than 5 items, I understand the "need" for this feature, but lately I haven't used more than that. Unless I know I'm not doing anything on that system in a long time, for example if it's a new system I might just queue up some improvements, instead of using it to build ships or anything else.

What would be of a lot of help is if you had more than 1 of the same item queued and you'd see a multiplier next to the name:

5x Scout

It would really help, because when war times come I usually build lots of new ships and put them on top of the queue, on my ind. systems.

I've wasted so many turns because of this because I thought it was building something but was converting instead. smiley: stickouttongue

Hi,

I'm playing ES and there are two features that appear to be missing that drive me up the wall!

1) Adding something TO THE TOP OF THE QUEUE

2) Adding multiples/infinite of a single item (Like ship) to queue

Are these hidden somewhere or have the devs totally dropped the ball on this....

I agree this with the queue order or have an option like you do force all systems to explore their moons or remove anomalies.

The build queue window is too small they should make it larger as it looks to me like there would be enough space.

Yeah I don't get why they don't have a better queue management system. With that said...

I would like to see a list of system improvements that would be excluded for all governor AI's build queue / priority. You could even group this by tech tree and then list techs ascending by tech level first and alphabetical second. I believe people have done this themselves by editing the files, or modding the game? But I'm not sure if that plays nice with multiplayer?

Another thing I would like to see is the ability to choose planetary exploitation, (bad) anomaly removal, wonder exploitation, moon exploration, colonization and teraforming from the system management screen (without having to drill down to the planet level). You can then take all planetary specific information and display that on mouse over of the FIDS for that planet and still keep your system total.

I would also like to see a more... basic display of FIDS per planet / per system. For example if I'm looking at the system view, the system view should show the sum values of all planets, the planet should show the sum value of each FIDS. If I mouse over a planet's food I should see 2 values, total production and total loss, if I mouse over the sum loss of a planet, it should break down each item like it was a line item on a receipt and I shouldn't have to go to EndlessSpace.edu for 4 years to understand it either. smiley: wink

But baby steps and all that. Can we get a button that will move the selected item to the top of the production queue and the ability to specify a queue list that repeats?

Yeah, if you've got 20 items in queue and want to move something to the top, it's actually easier to just remove them all and start over.

It came up for me so often that I started only putting 3 improvements in queue at a time in any given system. Only while fleet building will I go beyond the size of the box.

A few ways to fix this:

  • "Add to top" function, as requested by Astax
  • A field next to each item in queue where you can change its place with the keyboard (e.g. overwrite 17 with 3)
  • UI resizing options as suggested elsewhere on these forums
  • A "set priority" function for improvements and ships so that things get automatically reordered

I'd actually like to see all these implemented.

Now that would be nice. The ability to reorganize the q without any difficulty.

+1 from me.

Yeah, que mechanics seem kinda harsh to me too. Especially in forge systems.

That would be cool. Terraforming is a drag for me atm. But I would still like to see an "Apply this operation Empire Wide" function somewhere in the gui...

Can't yo just drag and drop production items into what order you want?

The window doesn't scroll up when you drag. Let's say you have 10 items in your queue. You have to scroll the window down to the item you want to move, drag the item to the top of the window, scroll the window up, drag to the top of window, scroll window up... repeat until you get to the top.

Yes, but it's a real pain especially when you have more than four items in your queue.

The more I play this game, the more I like it. However, the more I play it, the more I hate not having a move-to-top-of-queue ability. It is at the top of my wish list.

There are some people around putting everything into the queue at a specific order and then direly in need of a "put it in on top"-function, when an especially beneficiary building comes along or they suddenly need to build a flotilla.

The game doesn't provide this function. Actually, my "most wanted" function would be: "terraform all planets in the empire towards [planettype]". smiley: wink

Nope they are not in the game as far as i know.

Especially the point to adding something TO THE TOP OF THE QUEUE is driving me nuts too eversince.
