Well i didnt thought that someone realy is that kind of cheap to create Hacks for a 4X Game but it was only a matter of time.



Some Days ago some players i chated with told my about a player(somebody stated he was russian) which managed to send war fleets to all other Players Homeworlds (they were 8 players) at turn 8 and won the game.

I didnt believed them and was thinking...no way they must exaggerate cause okay in Dayz and Counter Strike yeah there are many Hackers but in Endless Space i never saw a single one which was actually using a real Hack.



Then today i played a game and as i always do i checked the Race Trait Build of the players i encounter to see what race they are playing and to estimate their skill on the basis of thier custom race.



And then i saw something i didnt saw since the Beta.

A Custom Race WITH ALL postive Traits picked and not a single negative one.

Back in the Beta there was a Bug which made the creation of such races possible but this BUG is fixed long ago. everyrace which was created back in those days were deleted and unplayable and now i see such an abomination in the DLC Addon Disharmony a thing which is without a real hack so manipulation of the game files just impossibel. Also the Player was from Russia which i know cause of his Race name and the harsh things he was saying to us as i told everyone he is a Hacker (cause i understand russian language to a minimum) so maybe it was the the same Player.

The Hacker is the Player with the Color Cyan and the Name fortfile

So my Question is:

Is it possible to track those player and Bann him?

Is there anything you the Devs or Steam can do against Hackers in ES?





At least this Thread can be a Warning to all of you to kick this Player at the moment he joins your games if he isent smart Enough to Change his Name.

I don't play MP at the moment but if I will some day I'll definitely disconnect.

If confirmed, can he not be banned form Steam?

Pretty much defeats the purpose of playing a game. Go figure.

how is it fun to do that? i like the managing aspect of endless space but why even play with hacks? custom races with lots of negative traits encourage specialization and make the game more challenging. it is sad that someone deliberately ruins other peoples games for no reason.
