Im playing a game at Hard difficulty.



Its only me (Pilgrims) and United Empire left.



I have many developed planets and a big production. Its turn 245.



I have probably something like 20 fleets and command cap 23.



I have devoloped the weapon tech tree very high. I have level three missiles, laser and kinect. I have 8 heroes and five over level 20.



It doesent help.



In battle I almost dont harm the enemy. Even If I counter all his battlecards.



I look at tech tree and cant see any tech that will make my fleet that much better. Does it help if I get Dark energy shields or anti gravitation field? They are just about the only aggressive techs I dont have.



What can I do?

Which weapon loadout do you use and which defense loadout does the enemy use?

Do you maybe use all missiles and he uses exclusively flak defenses?

Alright here is the thing, what kind of ship do you use? Normally if such a thing is happening it means the AI is putting together dreadnaught tanks that can sustain high damage and deal high damage. If so, your best bet is to either make stronger ships yourself or use the nosebreaker targeting option, this will have2 all your ships target one of the enemy ships making it much more likely that you will kill it.
