is there a way to add/enable an auto resolve ability? I really hate the combat, and would like to be able to let the AI handle the fighting. Problem is, even the "auto" option makes me pick cards and wait a few seconds to continue on to the next 12 battles I need to resolve.

I honestly cannot play this game with the current combat system, its just a major turn-off for me.

I agree for the most part--I would like a button that saves your battlecard lineup since I end up using the same three cards with every battle.

Interesting. Most anti-ES-combat people don't think it's complex enough and want more control! Fair enough. There are some things you can do to speed things up...

1. If you are playing vanilla, you will be in for a treat when you move up to Disharmony because the combat executes much quicker. That 5-second delay is reduced to only a 1-second delay. They should fix it in vanilla because there is no reason for the longer delay, it should be a very easy fix, and some people still play vanilla.

2. You don't have to select a card for every phase. Most battles I have only last one round, thus I only select one card (or two if there's a chance it will go two rounds). For that matter, you don't have to select any cards, although in most cases you will want to select at least one.

3. You can select a card (or two or three) and execute an auto battle very quickly once you get into the flow.

One of the strengths of this game is you can auto-resolve combat without getting wildly different results as opposed to doing it manually.

By the way, I really like Tiaximus' suggestion to have a default battle card selection possible. That would speed things up even more.
