I'm new to the game but it appears great !



I've already two questions. I did some research but was unable to find an answer.

PLease could you help me ?



I play as United Empire.

My first colonized planet is terran with basic output 4 food, 2 industry 2 science and 4 dust.

I've 3 pop on it.

So I expected to have a total output of 12 6 6 12. But it is 17 11 6 15.

I can understand the 15 in dust due to Faction bonus.

But why +5 in food and industry ?



Same for the second CP in the next system: jungle, basic output: 4 4 2 2.

I've 1 pop on it.

So I expected to have a total output of 4 4 2 2. But it is 9 9 2 3.

Again +5 in food and industry.



Why ?



Next question:

What means the "x5 dust from empire"

Click on your system to bring up the system screen. Now if you mouse over the each FIDS (food, industry, dust, science) number, the game will show you every modifier used to get the final result.



However, I have no idea what the "x5 dust from empire" means or what affects this modifier.

Every colony has a basic improvement (its a tent icon in the improvement list you can view on the right side at the bottom) which provides +5 food and industry (as well as a small anti-air defense bonus)

What means the "x5 dust from empire"

Could be a boost from an exploration event. Or maybe its the taxation modifier. I'd need to see a screenshot or more details about that.

this is used to calculate ship maintenance, more command points you have bigger the number and is used in formula for ship cost.

Thats kinda Endless Space in a nutshell since its not terribly well explained in many areas . For what it's worth, I had no idea how ship maintenance was calculated until this was brought up.
