***I HAVE TRIED THE FOLLOWING FIXES***

Verified Integrity of Game Cache

Uninstalled vcredist, then installed from the directory (it fixed the "installing vcredist" which occured on startup)

using -novideo

using -popupwindow

uninstalling anti-virus

(duh) restarting computer

running straight from game folder (gets error endlessspace.exe is not responding)

running steam in offline mode

updating steam

I do not have raptr or comodo





I just bought Endless Space with the Disharmony DLC, and running it opens onto a black screen. After a short time, music plays and keeps playing. Waiting does not fix the issue, and it will stay as a black screen but the program will still be responding. The only thing I have not tried is port-fowarding on the router, but I do not have comodo and my ports have never caused trouble before. I would REALLY like help with this as I spent money on this game, and I do not buy games often.

What video card do you have ?
