So...have been passed two years since "Endless Space" and im worried about how long will it take for Edless Space 2.

I know that Amplitude studios is a small team and they need more time but I cant wait anymore! im going to make my own Endless Space with black jack and h*****s smiley: stickouttongue

Any info will be appreciated.

PS: here I have a leaked wallpaper of ES2

I would love to see improved ES rather than 2nd edition which would probably have more bugs as is the case with new games :/

At this point, I feel like the current Endless Space could benefit from another expansion or who knows, just a tweak of the end game.

But at the same time, I could understand if Amplitude decided to focus the resources in an eventual Endless Space 2 instead. If they even plan to make a sequel.

Who knows, maybe their next game is a minecraft-style strategy rpg set in the paleolithic. Afterall, they always like to try weird stuff. smiley: stickouttongue

Keep your eyes open. A new patch is coming soon, and it might even be a full add-on.

I think this is the better! i would love to si an expansion more then a whole new game.

Read what i dreamed up:

A merge of the three game of Amplitude...In Endless Space you start with a planet and a colony ship, when you arrive in a new planet to colonize you are all zoomed in the planet (like in endless legend) and set your colony, and other exploit (its more a visualization of your colonization and exploitation and of course the anomalies, more then a game inside the game), instead of seeing a planet with some light (endless space) you can all zoom in.

The DotE merge I see it more like event during exploration of the galaxy.

What do you think guys? would it be awesome? or im talking non sense?

PS: pardon my poor English and poor explanation but im sure you understood what i mean.

Kinda sounds like what Spore did, just kind of in reverse. And it didn't work very well. I think some form of in-depth planetary exploration could work pretty well as a way to diversify the gameplay in a Sequel, but just combining the games is bound to run into huge problems.

Spore was a massive disappointment.

Spore should of concentrated on the bacterial and animal stages, a tribal society should of been some kind of victory point.

It would of been awesome to have water life or aerial creatures.

They had a version that looked really good, but then it was scraped to make place for the abomination they released.

From game to game, they seem to "zoom".

Endless space is at space empire levels

Endless legend is at kingdom levels

Dungeon of the Endless is at human level

Next could be a hacking game maybe, like Uplink ? Electron level, hack your way to the Endless cloud conscience smiley: stickouttongue
