I click on the ships button and it's more like the fleet button - doesn't show you anything in hangers anywhere.

So how can I find ships that are in hangers without going to each individual system and LOOKING?

What's the point of a hanger anyway? Is there some benefit to having a ship in a hanger? All it seems to do is hide your ships from you.

You can see at a glance if you have any ships in hangars in the Empire Management screen.

When you first build ships, they go into the hangar. You can later disband an active fleet at one of your systems and the ships will go back into the hangar. I think the only time I ever used that feature is when I was building up a fleet of troop ships that I wanted to keep out of the way until I had enough.

You can also see which systems have ships in the hangar from the Galaxy Map. Zoom in until boxes appear to the left and right of your star system.

The number on the left is your population. On the right, there's an upper and a lower box. The upper right box will show how many ships are in the hangar. The lower right box shows what you're building.

The empire management screen is quite cool. Try spending mire time there and you'll see many answers to your questions smiley: wink
