Start playing Endless Space and I'm really enjoying. Just a small comment for now. First encounters with other races fleets identified them as Enemy Fleets. Well wouldn't it better Unknown Fleet? So that we don't start supposing that all other races are enemies from the start. There are other ways of winning the game without total obliteration of the other races, right?

Enemy fleet just means they can engage your own fleets, all factions begin the game in cold war.
