Good idea, man.

Same thing with the Harmony but you can't fix the planets. Your best bet is to raze them to the ground and post a blockade of ships around the planets to deter enemies from colonizing them.

Has anyone found a way to repair a depleted planet? I have found that conquering a craver empire as the first war in a game sucks because it actually sucks all my money just keeping a series of depleted planets, turning them into gas giants doesn't help, actually makes it worse. I'm wondering if amplitude didn't put a fix mechanic into the game if it's possible to set the startup window to not reset all the races when we start a game and allow us to actively pick what races we play against in single player mode. I hate conquering a galaxy with cravers in it. They screw up a star system just living in it.

The FAQ has an entry about Locust points and depleted planets. Search through it when you have questions. Who knows, someone might have asked already about what you're interested in learning and we may have added it to the FAQ.

Oh wow that's really cool, couldn't work out what it meant or why it was on AI planets and not mine

Well, thanks for this thread. I was curious what it means to the stats of the system when it says some planets are depleted.

I play two days as Cravers and I did the expansion by natural. smiley: stickouttongue So the answer in this thread works for me by default. Thank you for confirming this.

Where is the +50%/+25%/0% tech ?

Left tech tree, tier 4, "Accelerated Yields". Look for the tractor icon.

Agreed, I don't recall a race working quite the same in any similar game. Actually I think the devs did a good job with the races generally, in terms of flavour, I'm rather looking forward to seeing the ones which haven't been announced yet smiley: smile.

thanks for the straight forward answer. never read about the locusts but i had noticed something in the tech to do with -50% locust points. smiley: smile

Edit: just to get it clear then. once depleted i MUST expand as opposed to the planet being regenerated in anyway?

Once depleted, it's depleted. You still get some FIDS, but a -25% malus is a huge drawback.

yeah that works too! id just like a little transparency with it. like the tutorial screen that comes up when you select a system that explaining it? it isnt only cravers that will encounter this, maybe if the empire conquer a system with depleted planets they would to know this also? smiley: smile

You can't. You'll just have the "depleted" info.

In fact we don't need the number of locust points : just the state of the planet (over-consumption, normal, depleted) and maybe how many turns remains (there's a tech that reduce the number of locust points)
