though any of these would be great! Id personally like something I could hold in my hands!

Would there be a exclusive copy for those of us on the forums or have helped towards the game? maybe some signed copies?

Signed Copies with an artbook would be definitively great. But somehow -even if i intend to pre order- i would be disappointed if it came with ingame bonus. Not for me, for the others. I think every one should get the whole game. Yeah, i'm not selfish enough smiley: stickouttongue

Ps: oh, btw: DLC are f******* evil. This project looks beautiful, please don't ruin it smiley: frown

I am perfectly satisfied playing Dungeons of Dreadmore to curve my craving for dungeon crawler.

I agree that it would make it unfair. That's why i didn'y include the special ships and weaponry, because it would overpower one player. And DLC is not evil. It is the developers way of adding new content after release. and DLC is always optional, and wouldn't ruin a good game.

Call me old-fashionned, but i prefer a patch for free content, and an expansion for paid (real) content. Of course, some company make great dlc, but...

DLC, I'm sort of torn on.

I mean, if publishers do stuff like including it on the disk at retail launch, and you have to pay $2 for a code to unlock it, that's pretty low.

If the DLC comes out after, I think it's alright, unless it takes on the levels of that train simulator with $1500 worth of DLC.

But I'd prefer a fully fledged expansion pack myself, instead of drips and drops of DLC.

I also prefer real expansions with all the new content, but if you decide to make dlc then plz real ones not only 10 minute gimmicks for 10 €.

Have you guys considered a "Preorder for Beta access" kind of deal? I consider them to be a very good idea, because it has a ton of advantages with little drawbacks: The developer gets cash on hand sooner (very big for a start up), people can play their game as soon as they buy, the developer gets more feedback, and since it's a Beta, no one complains if stuff doesn't work right!

Would it be possible to have some preliminary system requirements released before pre-ordering becomes available?

I'm particularly interested if the game will run on XP and which video cards are supported.

Is there going to be a non-Steam option to order the game? And even to play the game? Or is Steam going to be required? Thanks

Since they mention full Steamworks integration among their goals, I believe that's a no. I mean you can buy the game anywhere, but most likely you will have to install Steam to play; at the very least to access online features(multiplayer for example). May it be be known that this is not a bad thing in my opinion. No DRM at all is always better, but this can't always be done; plus Steamworks provides much more than just DRM.

And if we have to suffer the existence of achievements (I suppose so), then it is better to have them on steam than on origin or gfwl...

What's good about Steam is that it allows to play games in offline mode.

Umm...

I can't see a benefit to having to use a 3rd party to play a game in offline in the first place, but that's really neither here nor there. I know the 'advantages' of Steam, I'm just curious if it will be required, as I am only interested in playing this SP anyway most of the 'advantages' are meaningless to me.

I second that. I've been able to stay away from steam, and I'd like to keep it that way. If ES is full steamwork, then, maybe, it'll be the game that will make me install steam. Maybe.
