And the "keep your baby on one arm"-trick is a good one. Tried and adopted when my kids were very young. But now my son look at me playing legend of grimrock and saying when I'm missing something on the ground "Dad ! A ninja-thing on the ground !".

He's 7 years old. Can't wait to play ES 3 with him ;-)
