Hi guys, we hope to have a pre-order playable version available within a month if everything goes well. We'll give you more info in the weeks to come, as soon as the primary Steam implementation is done. Concerning the FAQ, good point, we'll work on that as soon as possible smiley: biggrin

On a more serious note, looking at the Progress page I wonder if there are going to be 5 or 8 fully playable races in the beta?

i doubt they would give access to all 8, they will probably add the last few closer to release.

Raptor's all seeing eyes are scanning the Internet for every bit of info, check out what they found smiley: smile

Some short news article with nothing new for us old dogs except for one particular sentence that might ease your pain smiley: wink

Posted 2 days ago, and the author claims to have some inside info:

At the moment the game is progressing towards Beta and there is word through secret channels that a pre-order package shall be available within about a month's time that will grant instant access to the current Alpha build and all upcoming versions including the final release one.

I hope he is wrong. Everything seems to points out(or maybe I just want to believe that ...) the beta is incoming any "minute" now and not a whole month away. If I can't get my hands on the beta until like June, I am going to be a very sad sad panda until then! smiley: wink

Like reynanuy, I consider it to be a bad/wrong news. A month ago they said that the alpha will be available within a month, and then yesterday they said it was crunch time. I doesn't make any sense. I think Strategycore.co.uk just forgot to check the date of the post mentioning the release of the alpha.

Come on, would be perfect AFTER D-Day too m8!

Think of the teary-eyed missus "No, Darling, it is ok, I shall wake up and take care of the lil'un, go catch on your sleep!!"

And then ...

1) Fire-Up computer

2) Prepare Baby-bottle

3) Feed Baby

4) Diaper time

5) Play ES

6) come back to bed 3 hours later with a sore shoulder due to the kid falling asleep on your not mouse-waving arm and claim you and he fell blissfully asleep on the couch!!! smiley: smile

Rinse Repeat ! =P

EVERYWHERE!!!!

...

okay, so that aside, I'm excited.

From what I read in the article, even though it was posted April 17th, I looks a lot like an new article created on old news. Everything that was stated was information provided from at least a month ago. This appears to be a game spotlight, not an update. IE, "This week, we found this game on the internetz (yes, with a Z) and will talk about a few things we found out from our ten minute romp through their forums." X3

The recent tweeter post also makes me think pre-order might be closer than a month from now.

Technically "within a month's time" means "a month or less". I'm sure Thorondor just didn't want to give any promises that would prove too optimistic. Better to be pleasantly surprised than unpleasantly disappointed. smiley: smile
