nice, I remember space empires IV & V when you can only travel throught wormhole :/

Casimir was television mascot, in the 90's, and the GLOUBI BOULGA was a kind of "meal" (but it wasn't the kind of meal you can eat XD). He's very famous in France (i don't know if it is in other countries?)

Hello!!



I just want to share my knowledge about wormholes, to help people find answers about them!



1) What's a wormhole in the game?



-Wormholes are differents from normal links. Firts, the skin of the link is like a DNA chain, and it links two planets.



2) How can I use them?



-You probably noticed that at the begining, you can't travel through them. You need a technology (in the bottom part of the technologic tree) and the tech's name is "applied Casimir effect". It allows you to use them.



3) What are the differences between a link and a wormhole?



-Well, the main difference is that when you travel through a wormhole, your fleet uses all it's "moving points", so you arrive at destination without having the possibility to move in the same turn.



You think it's bad, especially when the wormhole is short, but wait, here comes the best part smiley: wink



4) What's the strong point of a wormhole?



-Well, with one technology named "Dark matter shielding" (bottom part of the technologic tree, pretty far in it, to the right), all your wormholes (linked at least with one of your planet) are connected each other, meaning that if you have two wormholes with two planets linked with them, you can travel from the first planet to the second planet, even if they're each in opposite sides of the galaxy! In one travel! That's just awesome!





Well, I think that mostly people here already knew this, but I hope it'll help thoses how don't know that!

What i mean is that once you research it, any wormhole system is 1 turn away, making them more of a liablity then a strong defencive point, as any wormhole could feed fleets into your system, making wars with mulitable races more stressful as you cant possibly keep an eye on them all.
