I gave it a 7, which for an Alpha build, is really good I think. It has room for improvement, and I hope they take advantage of the great opportunity to make this game the best.

Ignoring that is is alpha, as requested by the OP. 6/10 is excellent for an Alpha, though. However, it clearly lacks features and variability atm. It feels a bit "dead". However, the potential for a 9 or a 10 is clearly there.

I give it 7. It loses 2 points for.....

1 - In it's attempt to make the UI funky, it has succeeded in making it about as friendly as a shark with a machine gun.

2 - Only available on steam.

I'm also going to have to give this game an 8, even this early in development. The visuals are just beautiful, and that UI <3

Nitpicking here: I would like to have an indicator of sorts on the galactic screen showing unused movement on ships though (without having to select each fleet individually).

I'm giving it just a 7 for now since it is still unpolished but I have no doubts that it will be atleast 9 when it is out of alpha (and beta).

I rated the game a 5, and I do keep in mind the game is at the alpha stage. It is difficult to say how the game will turn out, so cannot give it a higher number until I can see what forward momentum there is. I haven't been around long enough to know how responsive the development team is to the needs and wants of the gamers.
